T-Bird Links

IMHO, these are some of the best links for Thunderbirds.  The ONLY site dedicated to 1965 Thunderbirds is here.

This is by far the most informative site you'll find about 1965 Thunderbirds.  They are fanatical about getting accurate information about production numbers, standard equipment, pricing, specifications, interior trim, and exterior colors.  They even have a page for the 1965 Special Landau.  Definitely check this site out - Great Pictures too!  You MUST click on the logo.

This is a great Thunderbird site and home to the ABSOLUTE-MUST-JOIN Flairbirds mailing list.  If you have a 1965 Thunderbird, you MUST join this list.  It will put you in touch with over 700 other flaibird owners and experts.  No question goes unanswered by the core group of Thunderbird enthusiasts who have seen your problem and already fixed it - more than once.  Find the link to join the mailing list and JOIN.  Click on the Logo and plan to spend a lot of time exploring.

John Draxler's Thunderbird Ranch has parts for sale, pictures, manuals, diagrams, specifications, and a wealth of other information about T-Birds.  John is a regular contributor to the Flairbirds mailing list, and is always willing to help out a T-Birder in need.  I also recommend signing up for his FREE newsletter, which in addition to technical info, has some great stories you'll enjoy even if you're a mechanical misfit like me!  Click on the logo to get there.

Heartland Vintage Thunderbird Club of America.  This club has a nice website, but I recommend joining for their newsletter.  I get them all, WINGS 'N WHEELS is definitely worth reading.  Check out the site for Thunderbird gatherings.  Make sure you check for a local chapter near you, especially if you live in the midwest.  Click on the logo.

Click on the logo! Stefan's T-Birds sells Thunderbird parts.  Stephan may be the most knowledgeable T-Birder out there, he is undoubtedly the most helpful.  He answers almost every question posted to the Flairbird list, and from personal experience, he will follow-up off-list until the problem is solved.

Another parts site, what's unique about this one is that their extensive online database, with pictures of almost every part.  I learned a lot just browsing.  Highly recommended by my Thunderbird restorer.

VTCI is a great club, I get there Thunderbird Scoop magazine.  It is certainly worth reading.  My advice is to certainly check out all the Thunderbird clubs' sites for their upcoming events.  If there's a T-Bird gathering in your area, you don't want to miss it.  This club has lots of local chapters, so browse the whole site.

Why is this here?  Well, I'm a big Sinatra fan and have been listening to Sid Mark for 20 years.  Sid does Sinatra radio shows all over the country at different times.  When I was in College, in Maryland, I drove back to Connecticut on Friday nights and timed it so I could here Friday with Frank out of Philadelphia, and of course Saturday with Sinatra out of New York over the weekend.  Click the logo to check out Sid's site.

The International Thunderbird Club also has a good magazine, Thunderbird Script.  Their website has some forums and a pretty good classified ad section.  As I mentioned, check the club sites for TBird events near you.
Click the Logo to go to their site.

Anthony Kenwright's:

This is a picture site for members of the Flairbird list to show off their Thunderbirds.  Has pics of '64s, of course '65s, and 66's.

Click on the link to reach a bunch of Thunderbird parts stores with online catalogues.  You can learn a lot just browsing through.

Larry's Thunderbird and Mustang parts has a terrific selection of items and puts out a great catalog.  Visit and get the free catalog.  Definitely worth a visit to their site.
