Here's my 1965 hardtop, Car still wears original paint
job. Car is in Ohio, I have paperwork and bill of sales going back to
original dealership and owner. Also have original window sticker R.O.T. sheet,
etc. Tires are B.F. Godrich 8:15 X !5 red band whitewalls. They are
reproductions, and were purchased from Coker tire. I have the original spare
which has not been down and it matches the B.F. Goodrich repros. I have since
replaced the B.F. Goodrich tires with Firestone 721 radials size 215/75/R15
which immensely improve handling and steering over the old bias ply type
tires. They are 1-1/4" whitewall width so they look authentic for the
period. I drove the car round trip 950 miles to the ITC convention in Watkins
Glen, New York without a hitch and also did four laps on the new track with
over 70 other club member's birds. So far I have logged 2000 miles this
season. Last year I drove it to the new T-Bird introduction ceremonies at Ford
Corporate headquarters in Detroit.
