dick raine's convertible

I bought this car in 1989 at the Iola Wisconsin Old Car Show. The car was white with a black interior, in my view, the worst combination possible. I began a full restoration immediately. Over the next three years, part-time I restored the car. I bought a parts car with a white interior and put that interior in the convertible along with the parts that were better suited than the convertible had such as chrome and glass and other interior parts. The car was totally dismantled and stripped. All bodywork redone to modern day standards, engine and transmission rebuilt and then painted the body Emberglo. I color matched the white interior with Emberglo accents such as dash and side interior panels. A good amount of Chrome was re-chromed before reinstallation. I finished the job in 1992 and put the car on the road. Since then the car has won trophy's in most shows that it was entered in and still does today almost 10 years later. It is an eye catcher and really draws crowds. It is really show time when I put the top up or down. Well that is my story and here is my 1965 Thunderbird.
